Discipline is the multiplier: why AI makes engineering rigour matter more
AI makes it easy to produce a lot of code quickly. Making that code dependable is where the real work, and the real advantage, lies.

There's a popular idea that AI makes engineering discipline optional: just describe what you want and let the model figure it out. Our experience is the opposite. The faster you can produce code, the more your process decides whether that code helps or hurts.
Speed amplifies whatever you already do
A team with good habits ships good software faster with AI. A team without them ships more bugs, faster. AI is a multiplier, and it multiplies your weaknesses as readily as your strengths.
Where we refuse to cut corners
- Code review: every change is read by someone who understands it.
- Security: secrets, access and data handling are checked on every release.
- Observability: if we can't see it running, it isn't finished.
- Reliability: we design for failure and test the recovery path.
Small team, high standards
Being small isn't an excuse to be informal. It's the reason we can't afford not to be disciplined: there's no separate team to clean up after us. That standard is what lets a handful of people build software that partners can depend on.
If that sounds like how you want to work, we'd love to hear from you.
